During the pouring of the post-cast strip, in order to prevent the leakage of the wall, we adopt the water-swelling waterstop for construction without embedding the water-stop steel plate. The specific construction scheme is as follows:
Cleaning work:
1. Remove loose and flowing concrete in the post-cast strip to ensure cleanness. In this process, workers shall carefully use small tools such as hammer and steel chisel, and disturbance and damage of reinforcement are prohibited;
2. Remove the reinforcement, steel wire mesh, formwork and batten used for supporting in the post-cast strip;
3. Remove debris, especially attached slurry, sludge and other debris.
Reinforcement adjustment work:
1. The type, model, specification, quantity, spacing, position and protective layer of reinforcement shall be adjusted according to the design drawings;
2. For the base plate, when the reinforcement is required to be disconnected due to the debris cleaning in the post-cast strip, the binding strip shall be welded according to the specification requirements, and the reinforcement with the same specification shall be added for reinforcement;
3. Rust removal is required in case of corrosion of reinforcement, and reinforcement brush or rust removal agent can be used for rust removal. At the same time, rust removal treatment shall be carried out for the deformation and corrosion of post-cast waterstop steel plate of bearing wall;
4. Self-inspection shall be carried out and corresponding handover procedures shall be handled after reinforcement adjustment. The construction of the next process can be carried out after the acceptance of the supervision engineer.
Installation of water-swelling waterstop:
The required materials include the following:
1. Putty water-swelling waterstop
2. Tools: wire brush, putty knife, brush (2 inches), scissors or multi-purpose knife, small roller (Φ 40 × 50mm), hammer.
Construction steps:
1. Chiseling and leveling the concrete of the parts where the waterstop is required to be installed;
2. Clean the cement laitance, debris and dust on the hardened concrete surface with wire brush, putty knife and brush to keep it dry;
3. Installation of water-swelling waterstop
