HDPE Waterstop
HDPE waterstop is a rubber ring. It compresses around the pipe using stainless steel clamps. This setup stops infiltration and exfiltration between the waterstop and the pipe. It is then either grouted into an existing structure or has a new structure poured around it.
Manufacturers make HDPE waterstops from high-density polyethylene. These plastic waterstops are like PVC ones. HDPE materials resist chemicals effectively. They resist hydrocarbons, acids, hot petroleum oils, solvents, and diesel fuels well. But HDPE waterstops are harder and more abrasion- and heat-resistant than PVC waterstops.
Installation:
Use brass eyelets, punched flanges, or hog rings to tie wires to nearby reinforcing bars. This keeps the waterstop in place during the concrete pour. We recommend prefabricated waterstops for changing directions.
